Did You Know?
A common request of our company is advice in relation to whether or not it would be a good idea to purchase extended warranty when buying new appliances. My advice would be absolutely. Let’s look at the scenario of a person who would be purchasing a kitchen appliance set that would cost anywhere from $3000-$8000. You would likely be paying $300-$500 for an extended warranty plan for this appliances package. Most of these warranty plans cover your appliances for either a 3 or 5 year extension. Most appliances come with a one year manufacturer warranty. If your main PCB(main control board) fails on your stove after the first year, this repair is usually in excess of $300. As you can see, if only one of your appliances failed within the extended warranty period the cost of the extended coverage would have been well worth it. With the continued rising costs of appliance parts my advice would be to purchase an extended warranty plan and help protect your investment.
